Within 7 years have defended the industry ethical and professional standard for the protection of the public: New legislation and structure of OACIQ Adaptation of practices through the Covid pandemic

✅ Fulfilled 1st goal of revamping the Continuing Education Courses offered for the betterment of the profession and public protection.  Greater variety of accredited courses, to strengthen the client satisfaction through knowledge and higher quality service.  In my role within the Board of Administration I participated in the selection of courses and vetting of the suppliers.

✅ 2nd Goal overseeing the audit and finances of OACIQ is a continuing process.  My 40+ years of experience in Real Estate, is instrumental in having my analysis, recommendations implemented.  As a past Franchisee/Owner I know how hard you work to serve your clients and the professional dues must serve our best interest as well as the public.

2023 Mandate Next objective:  Continuation of the process to review and revamping of all mandatory and non mandatory forms. We live in a world of changes, the OACIQ is committed to keeping up with the changes while protecting the public.  Electronic communication, new technology has changed the ways of doing real estate and the tools.  I am committed to keeping up with the changes and helping brokers responsibly fulfill the documentation for these changing times. Currently as the President of the Committee of Professional Practices,

I bring my on-the-ground, and real life experience to advocate for the ethics and professionalism of all brokers representing their clients.

This to ensure we maintain our principles to protect the public while completing each transaction to the best of our abilities.

Personal Note:  Many of you have known me through my 40+ years in the Quebec Real Estate Sector, in person, at networking conferences and now over Zoom.

I have always been proud to maintain a high standard of ethics, to protect the brokers while they are defending their clients. As Director of the GMREB (today’s APCIQ) 2000-2016 and as President of the College de l’Immobilier du Quebec from 2009-2014.
